Please mention the California Bankers Association (CBA) to receive the special group rate. The group rate is starting at $389/night, single or double occupancy, plus taxes and fees. Former NFL MVP quarterback and Super Bowl Champion, he reveals his Game Plan for Success by drawing parallels between winning in football and in business. Joe focuses on how to succeed under pressure - when it's "4th and 1", and how to adapt quickly to unexpected situations when you're faced with a "blitz" instead of a zone. He urges individuals and organizations to set goals and correct errors each step of the way, an approach that builds momentum... which once on your side, would be hard for the best "defense" to stop.

How to Motivate and Retain Key Officers and Employees Outside of Salary and Cash Incentives

- This session focuses on bot compensation and benefits offered to key officers and employees other than salary and cash bonuses. We start by exploring the typical long-term incentives and benefits offered to key officers that include such items as stock grants, phantom stock, deferred compensation and supplemental retirement plans. Next, we discuss traditional employee benefits such as PTO, 401(k) plans, medical insurance, and life insurance. Finally, we review non-traditional benefits that are being provided such as working from home, work environment, and new benefits such as mental health assistance and pet insurance, etc. The goal is to summarize compensation and benefits outside of salaries and annual cash bonuses/incentives that help banks keep their best people.

EVEREST RESILIENCE: Overcoming Adversity and Reaching High Goals

- Work, life, and mountain climbing always include change, challenge, and uncertainty. From his four decades of adventures around the globe, Jim Davidson shares hard-won wisdom about forging resilience, encountering setbacks, and still achieving high goals. In this riveting keynote, Jim shares his real-world survival experiences of: Enduring the deadliest day ever on Mount Everest, when huge earthquakes and avalanches trapped Jim and his team at 19,900 feet. Recovering from this disaster and returning two years later to summit Mt. Everest. Escaping from the 80-foot-deep hidden glacial crevasse that swallowed Jim and killed his climbing partner on Mount Rainier. Attendees will learn practical lessons on how they can: Cultivate a resilient mindset for managing change. Spark resilience in each other during stormy times. Provide resilient leadership, even when the path forward is unclear. Rebound from setbacks even stronger than before, through post-traumatic growth. The 2025 Annual Conference Golf Tournament will take place on the PGA West: Dunes Course.
The visual drama of the landscape and the sheer beauty of the desert showcase the Dunes Course which is situated at the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Pete Dye added a twist to the traditional Scottish approach for this links-style course. It favors accuracy from the tee and rewards carefully executed approach shots to its well-guarded greens.

Golf Club Rentals:
Golf club rentals are available (right or left handed) for $85 including taxes and fees. Players who plan to rent club must reserve and pre-pay for them during the online registration process.

7:45AM – Golf Pros will lead the Golf Group out to their starting hole
8:00AM – Golf Tournament Kicks Off with Shotgun Start
CBA Staff will have a registration table at the pro shop to check-in the players. We will also have a final list of the golf pairings as a reference.

The 2025 Annual Conference and Directors Forum will be offering CPE credits. Once the agenda is finalized, we will be able to provide the amount of credits here.
