Joe Theismann is an entrepreneur and the former star quarterback. Most recently, he spent the last 2 decades working for ESPN and the NFL Network as an NFL analyst.

Joe graduated in 1971 from the University of Notre Dame, where he received All-American honors in both Football and Academics. That same year, he was runner up to Jim Plunket for the Heisman Trophy balloting. Joe chose to begin his career with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League after being drafted by the Miami Dolphins and Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins.

A 12-year NFL veteran, Joe played in 163 consecutive games from 1974-1985 in the NFL and holds team records for passing yardage (25,206), completions (2,044) and attempts (3,602). He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and Pro Bowl MVP leading his team to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl 17.

Joe was selected as the NFL’s Man of the Year in 1982 for his community service and dedication to the health and welfare of children. In 1983, he won the league’s Most Valuable Player Award, leading the team to a second consecutive Super Bowl appearance. Joe Theismann’s career ended abruptly in 1985 after sustaining a badly broken leg during a Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants on national television. In 2003, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and in 2013 received the Walter Camp Football Foundation “Distinguished American” Award.

With every chapter of his life, Mr. Theismann evolved from athlete to the ultimate businessman. An Emmy award winning analyst, entrepreneur, and athlete, he utilizes his gifts, talent and high energy to share his strategies for handling unforeseen change.

Mary C. Daly is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In that capacity, she serves the Twelfth Federal Reserve District in setting monetary policy. Prior to that, she was the executive vice president and director of research at the San Francisco Fed, which she joined in 1996.

Ms. Daly has served as an advisor to the Congressional Budget Office, the Social Security Administration, the Institute of Medicine and the Library of Congress. She has also been a visiting professor at Cornell University and the University of California, Davis. Ms. Daly holds a Ph.D. in economics from Syracuse University, an M.S. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a B.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed a National Institute of Aging post-doctoral fellowship at Northwestern University and is a research affiliate at the IZA Institute of Labor Economics.

Ms. Daly’s research focuses on employment and wage trends, economic growth, and economic shocks. Her research has advanced understanding of the Federal Reserve’s maximum employment and inflation mandate.

She regularly speaks across the U.S. and internationally. She also travels through the Twelfth District to hear first-hand how businesses and households are experiencing the economy. She hosts an award-winning podcast, Zip Code Economies.

Ms. Daly grew up in Missouri. When she was 15, she dropped out of high school and started working several jobs to help support her family. She went on to earn a GED and begin her career in economics. She brings her life experience to her work, remembering how critical economic opportunity is for all Americans.

With over 26 years of experience, Krista Snelling serves as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of West Coast Community Bancorp and Santa Cruz County Bank.

Ms. Snelling currently serves as Board Chair of the California Bankers Association. Additionally, she sits on the board of the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership, the Finance Committee of the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, and the Executive Advisory Council of the University of the Pacific Eberhardt School of Business, where she is a frequent guest lecturer. She is one of six women CEOs steering the Women’s CEO Peer Group, which is co-hosted by Bank on Women, Inc. and the American Bankers Association. She is a member of the Cabrillo College Foundation President’s Circle and Rotary Club of Santa Cruz.

Under her leadership, West Coast Community Bancorp continues to be recognized for outstanding performance. Ms. Snelling previously served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Five Star Bank (CA).

Ms. Snelling graduated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Mathematics and Economics. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from University of California, Davis, and is a California Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Ms. Snelling was named in American Banker Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Banking Watch List for 2023. Additionally, Ms. Snelling and members of the Bank’s executive team received American Banker Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Banking Top Teams Award for 2023. In 2019, she was recognized as CFO of the Year by the Sacramento Business Journal.

Paul Worthing serves as the Regional Director in the San Francisco Region of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). He has been with the FDIC for approximately 35 years and is responsible for the supervision and oversight of financial institutions in 11 Western States and the territories of Guam and the Federated States of Micronesia.

Prior to serving as Regional Director, Paul served as Deputy Regional Director for six years (2017-2023) where he was responsible for overseeing the risk management examination and supervision functions in the San Francisco Region. From 2010 to 2017, Paul served as Assistant Regional Director (ARD) responsible for supervising financial institutions in the states of Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. Prior to his appointment as ARD, Paul was a Senior Case Manager, Case Manager, and Examination Specialist in the San Francisco Regional Office. He served as a field examiner in both the Dallas and San Francisco Regions from 1990 to 2000.

Paul graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Kearney, Nebraska in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree: majoring in accounting and finance and a minor in economics. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin (2002).

Mongkha Pavlick serves as Senior Vice President in the Supervision + Credit Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She oversees teams with responsibilities for community and regional institution supervision, consumer compliance supervision, formations + transactions, and enforcement.

Mongkha joined the SF Fed in 2001 as an intern, where she, shortly thereafter, began her career as an associate examiner. She earned her safety and soundness commission and deepened her experiences by serving as an examining manager during the financial crisis, where she oversaw a portfolio of troubled community banks and bank holding companies. From 2014–2018, she served as Director of the SF Fed’s supervisory program for community banking organizations. Most recently, she was Group Vice President and provided strategic oversight to the Fintech, Country Analysis, and Outreach team, Credit Risk Management (“Discount Window”) team, and Supervision + Credit’s business and operational support functions.

Mongkha graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a minor in East Asian languages and cultures.

Amy Klein is an Associate Deputy Comptroller for the West Region at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

In this role, Ms. Klein serves as an expert advisor to the Deputy Comptroller on all financial institution matters and provides executive direction for Midsize and Community Bank Supervision operations including bank and thrift supervision as well as personnel management.

Prior to the Associate Deputy Comptroller role, Ms. Klein served as an Assistant Deputy Comptroller in the Lubbock, Texas office. She has served in various supervision roles in Midsize and Community Bank Supervision, including serving as a Problem Bank Specialist during the prior financial crisis.

Ms. Klein became a commissioned National Bank Examiner in 1997 and achieved the Federal Thrift Regulator certification in 2013. Ms. Klein has a bachelor degrees in accounting and political science from the University of South Dakota and holds an active Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation.

Stan Ivie is Executive Vice President and the Head of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Banc of California and its holding company, Banc of California, Inc. He leads the bank’s regulatory strategy and serves as a liaison to legislative and regulatory agencies. Mr. Ivie also oversees the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act and environmental, social and governance programs. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Banc of California Foundation and guides its charitable giving program. He is a member of the bank’s Executive Leadership Group.

Before joining Banc of California in November 2023, Mr. Ivie had been Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Pacific Western Bank and PacWest Bancorp since March 2016. In that role, he oversaw the bank’s risk management strategy, as well as the policies and practices that assess and mitigate financial, operational and strategic risks. Previously, Mr. Ivie held various leadership positions with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), including Regional Director for the FDIC’s San Francisco and Dallas regions, and Deputy Director for the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships. Earlier in his career, he served as interim Director of the Office of Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., and as a professional staff member for the Financial Services Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives under a fellowship program.

Mr. Ivie is an active leader in the banking industry. He is the immediate past Chairman on the Executive Committee for the California Bankers Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Pacific Bankers Management Institute at Pacific Coast Banking School.

Mr. Ivie earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Southern Oregon University.

Scott Anderson is BMO’s Chief U.S. Economist and Managing Director. He analyzes and forecasts U.S. national and regional economic trends, and regularly authors reports on prominent U.S. economic issues, monetary policy actions, and bank lending and credit conditions. He also spearheads periodic regional outlook reports on California and other regions.

Scott has been consistently recognized as one of the Top economic forecasters in the U.S. and was named the Most Accurate Forecaster by the National Association of Business Economics for 2019. His work is widely read and cited by the financial and business communities and has appeared in numerous media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, and NPR.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Commonwealth Club of California. He was appointed Chairman of the American Bankers Association Economic Advisory Committee in 2012 and has served on the Committee since 2004. In 2015, he was appointed to the California Council of Economic Advisors. He has also been a member of Stanford’s Institute for Economic Policy Research (SEIPR) since 2012.

Prior to joining BMO, Scott was the Chief Economist at Bank of the West, and prior to that, a Senior Economist at Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo Securities. He has also held positions at Moody’s Analytics and the IMF.

John Asbury is Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Union Bankshares Corporation (NASDAQ: AUB), having joined the company in October, 2016.

Asbury came to Atlantic Union as part of a planned succession for the former CEO, who retired following 26 years in role. Asbury is a career banker with over 35 years of experience in commercial banking. Previously, he was President and CEO of privately-held First National Bank of Santa Fe, a multi-state bank with locations in New Mexico and Colorado. Prior to that, he was Senior Executive Vice President and Head of the Business Services Group at Regions Financial Corporation, one of the nation’s largest full-service banks. At Regions, Asbury led all lines of business that serve the company’s business and commercial banking customers. Prior to Regions, he spent 17 years at Bank of America, ultimately leaving as the Pacific Northwest Region Executive for Business Banking in Seattle, Washington. Asbury began his career in the management training program at Wachovia Bank & Trust in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Active in civic and industry affairs, Asbury is prior Chairman of the Mid-Size Bank Coalition of America, and is a prior Chairman of the Virginia Bankers Association. He also serves on the board of directors of a number of not-for-profit organizations, and was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to the Port of Virginia Board of Commissioners, where he currently chairs the port’s growth committee.

Asbury holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Virginia Tech and an MBA from The College of William & Mary. He is a native of Virginia, born in Radford.

Mr. Aldrich is a principal of the law firm of Aldrich & Bonnefin, PLC, specializing in financial institution regulatory issues, commercial lending and corporate and securities matters. Mr. Aldrich actively advises California financial institutions, including both commercial banks and credit unions, their boards of directors and audit committees. Mr. Aldrich is part of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group which includes commercial lending and corporate securities. Mr. Aldrich has also handled bank formations, securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions of financial institutions, as well as bank regulatory and enforcement matters. Mr. Aldrich was the Course Instructor for the California Bankers Association Director Certification Program for 14 years. He is also the Founder of the firm.

Mr. Cook is a principal of Aldrich & Bonnefin, PLC, and manages the firm’s Corporate and Lending Practice Group which includes corporate securities law and commercial and consumer lending. Jason Lane is senior vice president, director of government relations for the California Bankers Association and manages California state tax policy for the association, which involves analyzing legislation and regulatory activity, and the development of policy positions for the association. Lane is one of three lobbyists at CBA and, in addition to his primary focus on taxation, he also lobbies on behalf of the association on issues related to the state budget, and consumer lending legislation. Lane has significant expertise in handling legislative issues including taxation, data security, identity theft, and housing.

Before joining CBA in May 2006, Jason Lane served as director of government affairs for Providian Financial and managed the bank’s financial privacy compliance program, as well as tracked and analyzed the impact of federal legislation and rulemaking for the company.

Michael has extensive experience in the human resources field and has conducted or supported over 500 compensation planning, market research, and organizational development projects over the past twenty-five years, with over twenty years specific to the banking industry. Mike has presented to various national and state banking associations including Bank Director, American Bankers Association, the Sheshunoff CEO Conference, the Bank CEO Network and over 20 state banking associations on a variety of bank compensation topics. With a master’s degree in advanced industrial and organizational psychology, Mr. Blanchard’s experience includes advising clients on assessing and designing executive, director, and staff compensation plans.
